Ho Chi Minh

I took a flight from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saignon, and arrived in the afternoon. Usually, when I arrive to a new city, I like to go to touristic places in the morning and afternoon and do something local in the evening.

Ho Chi Minh is the most modern city of Vietnam and we can see the clear transition from old to new here. There are old traditional houses on one side of the river, and skycrappers, shopping malls, expensive apartments slowly expanding on the other.

Also, I finally figured out how to cross the road here; the key is to walk very slowly and let the motorbikes contour you.
