I visited Hassan II Mosque, a mosque that overlooks the ocean. It is the largest in Africa and the second largest in the world, which is quite impressive. I went there early, so there weren't many people there; great for pictures :)

Casablanca is modeled after Marseilles in France; it is famous for its french-colonial architectural style. The old towns remains, but the city keeps growing, people learn and become more open, and women are starting to gain more power. I think it's the best place to get a taste of the middle-east without going too crazy.
