First of all, we went to that bamboo museum. As the name indicates, everything (or almost) inside is made of bamboo of over 300 different species. This is also the place where you can find the largest number of bamboo species in the world.
Bamboo Chicken:
Bamboo beer made by Zhejiang University. Zhejiang pride!!!
We had some at the restaurant and it's sooo tasty compared to yucky buds and yucky molson.
Bamboo house:
Bamboo scripts?
Different bamboo species:
I love China =)
Then, we headed to that place that I don't remember the name, but I liked it. It felt peaceful.
Anji is a small county isolated until recently it started building highways to some of the other cities in Zhejiang province. Although it is a small place, it still attracts millions of tourists per year for their pure water and fresh air which is pretty rare in China.
Kevin was taking too many pictures of me...
We decided to take a group picture, so here's everyone!
The air was so freshhhhh! It was good to be away from the city for a while. I've always wanted to move to the countryside. That would be soooo great!
There were lots and lots of butterflies so it was really beautiful....but that also meant that there were lots of caterpillars and you don't even know how much I HATE those nasty things! They were all over the places, some spots have so many that it looks like a green furry carpet...poor me!
That was the mountain we climbed. It's in the middle of the bamboo ocean (that's how locals call it).
That was on our way down
Did I mention that I walked XX km in only a pair of flip flops? I think I never sweated that much in my life. My body was so tired that my legs started shaking, so Kevin offered to give me piggyback ride on our way down but I didn't let him. Girls, if a guy is willing to do this when he's as tired as you are, it means you can always count on him. Your boyfriend ever did this for you? So are you jealous? Huh?
That was Anji~I liked it a lot even if I didn't see the bamboo forest.
